OBERON presents
Friday, December 14, 2012, at 7pm and 10pm
Co-Sponsored by Passim

OBERON, the American Repertory Theater's second stage and club theater venue, presents WINTERBLOOM, four singer-songwriters sharing their diverse cultural traditions through song and story for the holiday season, on Friday, December 14 at 7PM and 10PM.

Winter is a time for gathering, and It is in this spirit that a tradition has emerged- a tradition of friendship and music. Antje Duvekot, Anne Heaton, Meg Hutchinson and Natalia Zukerman have been touring together as Winterbloom since 2008. For a month or so each winter, the group of separate singer/songwriters bring their diverse reflections and experiences to the stage for a special Holiday-themed show. Join Winterbloom this holiday season for an evening of warmth, friendship, sarcasm and surprises.  Expect to hear some of your old Winterbloom favorites this year as well as an expanded repertoire reflecting their diverse backgrounds. Where else can you experience such a multi-cultural holiday celebration with songs in Hebrew, Tibetan and German? Weaving Christian, Jewish, Buddhist and family related themes, the Winterbloom shows have bothsacred and hilarious elements to them and a wonderful spirit of reunion as four talented friends reunite in what is fast becoming their very own tradition.

OBERON is the A.R.T.’s second stage, a destination for theater and nightlife on the fringe of Harvard Square. In addition to offering work from the A.R.T’s main season, OBERON is also a thriving incubator for emerging artists to imagine new projects that could only exist in this exciting club theater environment. Hundreds of artists and performance groups brought work to the space each year. OBERON regularly features local performers including aerialists, beat poets, food artists, tap dancers, gender-bending sketch troupes, comedians, hula-hooping burlesquers, and pop-and-lock human statues to name but a few.

Oberon is located in Harvard Square in Cambridge just off of Mass Ave at 2 Arrow Street.
