How does the application process work?
The application process is free to all applicants. All you need to do is fill out this form!
Once all Iguana Music Fund entries are submitted, an anonymous committee reviews every application. The winners are chosen based on merit. All decisions are unbiased.
When is the application deadline?
The deadline is October 15, and decisions will be announced in mid-December.
If I have applied before, may I apply again?
Yes. If you have a project that meets the criteria of the Iguana Music Fund, then the Iguana committee encourages you to apply again.
If I have won before, may I apply again?
Yes. If you have another project that meets the criteria of the Iguana Music Fund, then you are welcome to apply again.
Yes. The Iguana Music Fund strives to award grants to diverse projects and encourages both solo artists and full bands to apply.
How do I know if my project qualifies for the Iguana Music Fund?
The Iguana Music Fund supports a wide variety of musical needs and project ideas including, but not limited to, recording and manufacturing assistance, publicity and marketing support, instrument repair and replacement, additional equipment and instrument purchases, special projects, and other specific activities promoting artistic and/or professional growth. If you are not sure if your project qualifies, email the Iguana Music Fund.
If I win, will anything be expected of me?
In order to spread the word about the Iguana Music Fund and to keep the committee informed of how the Iguana grant was used, we ask a few things of the winners:
If I have questions, whom should I email?
First, please read the FAQs and Iguana Fund application, as you may find the answers to your questions in those resources. If you still have questions after reading those materials, then email the Iguana Music Fund. No phone calls please; the committee is not available at Club Passim.
I did not submit my application by the deadline. May I still apply?
Late applications will not be accepted.
Is there anything else that needs to be done after I apply?
No. If the committee needs more information, then they will contact you. Due to the large volume of applications the committee receives, only winners will be notified directly.
